Curriculum champions were able to talk about what PSHE stands for.

Mindfulness continues to be a key, and valued, part of PSHE

Children were given a playground scenario to discuss. Children could tell me that they would look out for others that appeared sad or lonely and would invite these children to play with them. Children talked about the importance of not leaving others out. Children spoke about showing respect.

Children were asked in their year groups to recall what they have learnt about the three areas of health, relationships and living in the wider world.

Year 1 could talk confidently about drinking water and eating fruit and veg to help keep healthy. They knew some drinks had lots of sugar and they needed to brush their teeth twice a day.

Year 2 knew that they have a duty to look after the world and spoke about kindness being important in relationships.

Year 3 pupils spoke about exercise and fresh air being important aspects of being healthy.

Year 4 highlighted no littering and not using fishing nets when thinking about living in the wider world.

Year 5 mentioned that being calm supports our well-being

Year 6 recognised that mindfulness supports their well-being. They could say that learning about staying safe helps them prepare for living int he wider world.
