PE
Mrs Hunter is the subject lead for Physical Education (PE) at All Saints’.
At All Saints’, we place a strong emphasis on the enjoyment and active participation of all children in PE. Our aim is to foster a lifelong love of sport and physical activity, while developing an understanding of the importance of health, fitness and well-being in daily life. We are committed to motivating and inspiring our pupils through a broad and engaging PE curriculum.
We achieve this through a variety of approaches:
• High-quality, engaging PE lessons that are both challenging and inclusive, encouraging all children to achieve their personal best.
• A wide range of extra-curricular sports clubs available to all year groups, providing additional opportunities for participation and enjoyment.
• Inter-house and intra-house competitions held throughout the year, promoting healthy competition and team spirit across a variety of sports.
• Participation in local sports festivals, giving children the chance to try new activities in a fun and supportive environment.
• Visits from inspirational athletes and sports professionals, helping to broaden children’s understanding of different sporting experiences and backgrounds.
• Dynamic outdoor learning environments including a trim trail, forest area, large field and playground zones that encourage physical activity during the school day.
Our dedicated staff team work exceptionally hard to deliver an engaging and inclusive PE curriculum that is enjoyed by both pupils and staff. PE is a much-loved subject at All Saints’ and we are extremely proud of the enthusiasm, commitment and achievements shown by our children across all aspects of physical education.
