Spring-

In this session children shared some of their artwork.

They loved having the opportunity to show off what they had done.

We worked together to develop artist analysis skills by looking at Monet's impressionist artwork.

WWW:

• Children were confidently able to talk about the different artists that they had learnt.
• KS2 children shared positive comments about their use of retrieval sessions to develop their drawing skills.
• KS1 shared that they enjoy doing art activities during mindfulness sessions.
• Children were able to talk about the different media that they have used in lessons.
• KS2 could talk a lot about the importance of looking at and analysing artists' work

EBI:

• KS1 want to do more art in their retrieval sessions.
• KS2 want to do more art in their mindfulness sessions.
• Children shared that they wanted to do more art outside.
• Children want more time to practice their drawing because they want to get better.

Autumn-

WWW:

• Children shared that they enjoy art lessons in school and look forward to the lessons when they see it on their time table.
• Children were able to explain what an artist is and share information about the artist that they focused on during their first art unit of the year.
• Children loved getting to use different types of media in their artwork and UKS2 children spoke positively about getting to make their own choices about the media that they use.
• Children shared that they love creating their unit title pages.
• Children talked about opportunities where they got to be creative.

EBI:

• Children want to have more time to spend on art.
• Children in KS1 wanted a time for them to attend art club.
• Children want to have free time in art.
